(LAKESHORE, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Essex as well as Chatham-Kent, along with Essex Windsor Emergency Medical Service (EMS) and Lakeshore Fire are the scene of a transport truck crash on highway 401, the eastbound on ramp near Essex County Road 42. The truck involved lost control and rolled onto its side into a ditch. The driver of the truck was taken to an area hospital as a precaution. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. The on ramp is closed but highway 401, although reduced in lanes, remains open.
