CKReview News is committed to protecting consumer privacy online. We believe that greater protection of personal privacy online will not only protect consumers, but also increase consumer confidence and their participation in online activities. At CKReview News we intend to give you as much control as possible over your personal information.
I. Information That We Collect
We may request that you voluntarily supply us with personal information, including your e-mail address, postal address, home or work telephone number, for purposes such as correspondence, participating in online contests, or news reporting. If you choose to give us personal information via the internet that we or our business partners may need – to correspond with you, conduct an interview or provide you with information, for example – it is our intent to let you know how we will use such information.
II. Use of User Information
We may perform statistical analysis of aggregate user behavior. This allows us to measure relative consumer interest in the various areas of our web site for product development purposes. Any information we collect is used for its own internal purposes to improve the content of the web site, to enhance users’ experiences when visiting our site, to customize the content and/or layout of our pages, and to provide the services required by an individual user. We do not use personal identifying information for any reason that is not disclosed either in this policy or at the time the information is requested. There are instances where you will have the opportunity to subscribe to an e-mail list that will send information about the site or our advertisers to your e-mail address, but this will be done only with your permission and consent.
III. Disclosure To Third Parties
We do not share personal identifying information with any third party without your permission. We disclose only in aggregate form our statistical analyses or demographics of users to third parties, such as advertisers or other business partners. PLEASE BE AWARE that when you voluntarily disclose personal information (such as your name, e-mail address) in the classified ads section to third parties, that information may be collected by others outside the control of us and may result in unsolicited messages from others.
IV. Use Of Materials
The right to download and store or output the materials on this site is granted for the user’s personal use only, and materials may not be reproduced in any edited form. Any other reproduction, transmission, performance, display or editing of these materials by any means mechanical or electronic without the express written permission of us is strictly prohibited. Users wishing to obtain permission to reprint or reproduce any materials appearing on these sites may contact Greg Holden at firstname.lastname@example.org.
V. Users Under 13
CKReview News does not collect personal information online from children under 13 without their parent’s consent. From time to time we may request limited personally identifiable information (e.g. child’s e-mail address and/or parent’s or guardian’s e-mail address) in order to conduct interviews or explain online contests or offer other online activities. CKReview News does not condition a child’s participation in any of our online activities on the disclosure of more information than is reasonably necessary to participate in the activity.
CKReview News occasionally offers contests which may be entered online. All personally identifiable information collected by CKReview News is securely maintained and used only for the purpose of conducting the contest. Once the contest is finished, CKReview News will delete any personal information collected.
VII. Names Supplied By Police Departments
CKReview News publishes the names of accused violators as supplied by various police departments. It is our objective to inform the public what the police say, not to keep a permanent record that tarnishes the reputation of an accused. If you have been named in a police report and that report is older than one year, CKReview News will delete the name from the report, upon request and at our discretion.
