Woman, four children injured in townhouse fire in Toronto’s east end

TORONTO - A woman and four children have been injured in a townhouse fire in Toronto’s east end.

Paramedics say the five were pulled from the Scarborough residence early this morning.

The woman and one of the children are reported to be in critical condition — the three other children in serious condition.

The home was reportedly engulfed in flames when fire crews arrived just before six o’clock.

Toronto Fire said a family lived in the home and that the father wasn’t injured.

The Ontario fire marshal is investigating.
