76-year-old pedestrian injured after being hit by vehicle

Police are reporting that at 2:40 p.m. yesterday a vehicle struck a pedestrian and a building on Campus Parkway in Chatham. A 76-year-old man was injured in the accident. He was treated by EMS at the scene and was taken to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. He was treated for his injuries and later was released. No word on the extent of his injuries.

On March 5, members of the Chatham-Kent police intelligence branch conducted an investigation about the trafficking of cocaine and methamphetamine. The warrant was executed at a motel on Grand Avenue East in Chatham and three parties were found inside the motel. The search resulted in police finding prescription drugs, cocaine, methamphetamines, and drug paraphernalia.
