Stranded motorist charged with breaching curfew
A 52-year-old Chatham man was arrested for failing to comply early this morning.
Police say the man was released from Court with several conditions on April 1st. One of those conditions stated that he was to obey a daily curfew of 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Just before 3 a.m. this morning, police responded to the report of a stranded motorist on Bear Line Road near Belle Rose Line. Police learned that the man was out past his curfew.
Police say the man was arrested and charged with failing to comply with his release conditions. He is in custody for a bail hearing.
