Stolen ATVs, motorcycles found in Tecumseh

Provincial Police recovered several stolen ATVs and motorcycles during a search warrant at two Tecumseh businesses last week.

The warrants were executed by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) and Essex County OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) in conjunction with the OPP’s Provincial Operations Intelligence Bureau (POIB) in the 2700 block of County Road 8 and the 1700 block of Rossi Drive Tecumseh on March 26th.

A number of All-Terrain Vehicles (ATV’s), Utility Terrain Vehicles (UTV’s), Motorcycles and a Golf Cart stolen from the Lakeshore area earlier this year were recovered having a value in excess of $150,000. 

In addition, two firearms were seized from one of the locations.

OPP say Vincenzo Chiarappa Senior, age 53 of Tecumseh and Vincenzo Chiarappa Junior, age 25 of Windsor were arrested and released and are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on May 7th charged with:

  • Possession of Property obtained by crime over $5000.

  The investigation is ongoing.
