Alleged drug traffickers arrested in Chatham
Three people are facing charges after police seized approximately $4400 worth of drugs from a Chatham home.
Just before dawn yesterday morning, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service Intelligence Unit and Critical Incident Response Team executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant at a residence on Patteson Avenue in Chatham.
Police say officers found a quantity of cocaine, methamphetamine and oxycodone with an estimated street value of approximately $4400. Officers also located drug related paraphernalia and over $5000 in cash.
Police say James Bond, 54 years, Lise Newcombe, 54 years, and Nancy Belanger, 52 years, all of Chatham were arrested and charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of methamphetamine and possession of oxycodone.
Nancy Belanger was additionally charged with failing to comply with her release conditions. She was transported to the Courthouse for a bail hearing where she was released pending a future court date of April 23rd.
James Bond and Lise Newcombe were released from police headquarters pending a future court date of April 25th.
