Ridgetown fire causes $175,000 in damages
Fire officials say damages are pegged at $175,000 after a garage caught fire last night in Ridgetown.
Fire crews from Station 11 arrived on scene at around 11 p.m. to find flames showing from an attached garage on Main Street.
Firefighters quickly deployed multiple hand lines to attach the blaze and prevent spreading to the front of the residents. Crews were challenged by high winds fueling the fire until it was extinguished at 1:39 a.m.
The homeowner escaped without injury.
Fire officials say the cause in undetermined.
