OPP investigating fatal crash in Middlesex Centre
Middlesex County OPP are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Middlesex Centre Wednesday morning.
Members of the Middlesex Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex County Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and Southwold Fire Department responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Southminister Bourne at around 8 a.m.
Police say the collision, reported to have occurred at 8 a.m., has been determined to have occurred at approximately 6:15 a.m.
OPP say preliminary investigation has revealed that a single motor vehicle left the roadway and struck a bridge barrier.
Police say the collision investigation continues, and preliminary details remain unconfirmed at this time. OPP West Region Technical Collision Investigation Team attended the scene to assist.
One occupant was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A second occupant was pronounced deceased at scene. She was later identified as Channon George, 27-years-old of Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation.
