Woman airlifted to hospital after serious crash in Adelaide Metcalfe

A woman suffered life-threatening injuries after crashing into a guard rail in Adelaide Metcalfe Tuesday morning.

Members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police, Middlesex-London Emergency Medical Services , Adelaide Metcalfe Fire Department and Strathroy Caradoc Fire Department responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Calvert Drive at around 9 a.m.

Police say the investigation, thus far has revealed that a vehicle traveling westbound on Calvert Drive, west of Denning Road, lost control, struck a metal guard rail and a tree.

The vehicle was occupied by one adult female. The driver of the motor vehicle has been transported to hospital via Ornge air ambulance with life-threatening injuries.
