Chatham youth charged with drug possession
A 17-year-old Chatham youth is facing a drug possession charge after allegedly being found in possession of methamphetamine last night.
Police initiated a vehicle stop as the youth was observed operating his bicycle on Thames St. in Chatham early this morning.
Officers learned that the youth was currently bound by a Probation Order with a curfew.
The teen was arrested for breaching a condition of his Probation Order. Upon being searched, he was reportedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine.
The youth has been charged with Breach of Probation and drug possession. He was later released with a future court date of October 4th.
