Windsor woman charged after rollover crash on Highway 401
A 67-year-old Windsor woman is facing a careless driving charge after a singled vehicle crash on Highway 401 yesterday afternoon.
Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police responded to a motor vehicle rollover near the eastbound OnRoute Service Centre at around 1:30 p.m.
Investigators say an eastbound motor vehicle had lost control and struck a light pole and sign post which then caused the vehicle to rollover several times. The vehicle came to rest partially blocking the entrance to the Service Centre.
The female driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to local hospital for assessment.
Police say Gurcharanjeet Johal has been charged with careless driving contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
