Man charged with failing to appear for fingerprints

On January 15th, a man was charged with theft under $5000 and being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. He was released with conditions and a future court date.

Police say the man was required to attend for fingerprints on January 29th but failed to attend and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Yesterday morning, police located the man and he was arrested. The 52-year-old Wallaceburg man has been held in custody for a bail hearing.

Chatham man charged with failing to comply

On February 23rd a man was released from custody with several conditions. One of those conditions stated that he was to reside at a specific address in Chatham.

On March 2nd police learned that the man was not living at that residence and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Last night, an officer on general patrol observed the man riding a bicycle on Princess Street near Wellington Street. Police say the man attempted to flee from the officer but was taken into custody.

The 29-year-old Chatham man has been charged with failing to comply. He is in custody for a bail hearing.

Break and enter in Camden Township

Sometime between March 6th at 5 p.m. and March 8th at 4 p.m. someone forced their way into a residence on Oakdale Road and stole approximately $5000 worth of property.
