Union Gas supports the Township of Dawn-Euphemia with a $2,000 grant to the Dawn-Euphemia Fire Department for the purchase of a defibrillator.

“At Union Gas, we relentlessly ensure the safety of our communities, customers, contractors, partners and employees,” said Chris Young, administration manager for storage and transmission operations, Union Gas. “We’re very pleased to show our continued support for the Dawn-Euphemia Fire Department with the purchase of a defibrillator which will help make people and this community safer.”

Young, presented the grant at the Dawn-Euphemia Firemen’s Breakfast on Sunday, February 4th to Alan Broad, mayor of the Township of Dawn-Euphemia, and David Williams, fire chief of the Dawn-Euphemia Fire Department. The Dawn-Euphemia Fire Department is a volunteer fire department that provides fire protection to the former Dawn portion of the Township.  The defibrillator is an essential piece of equipment, vital to any rescue activities involving fire departments and rescue operations, especially medical calls.

“As the Mayor of Dawn-Euphemia, I know that I speak for all Council members in expressing my utmost appreciation and respect for Union Gas, as they have and continue to be a strong supporter of the municipality in its role of the provision of good service to the community residents,” said Broad. “The relationship between Union Gas and the Dawn-Euphemia Council and staff has always been a very positive one, and one that we value.”
