Theft of luggage at Chatham train station

Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a woman who allegedly stole a bag and a suitcase from two Via Rail train passengers.

The incident occurred on February 3rd. Police responded to the Via Rail train station in Chatham in regards to a theft complaint.

Police say a woman exited the train in Chatham and stole a pink plaid Burberry bag and larger brown suitcase containing personal items belonging to two other passengers. Officers flooded the area, but did not locate the woman.

She is described as a white woman, thin build, blonde hair, approx. 5’4”, and was last seen wearing a blue and black patterned coat with dark pants.
