London police looking for two 14-year-old girls after teenagers assaulted

London police are looking for the public’s help in locating two 14-year-old girls who allegedly assaulted two 17-year-old girls.

Police say two girls became involved in a physical altercation inside a store at White Oaks Mall Tuesday at around 6:20 p.m. A 17-year-old female was assaulted by a 14-year-old girl. When the friend of the 17-year-old female victim attempted to intervene during the altercation, she was assaulted by a second 14-year-old girl. The female suspects left the area and police were contacted.

Police say one of the victims’ was transported to hospital by ambulance where she was treated for serious injuries. The second victim sustained minor injuries as a result of the assault.

The suspects have been identified by police, but have not been located. Due to their ages, the two 14-year-old females cannot be identified under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Suspect # 1 is charged by way of warrant application for one count of assault causing bodily harm.

Suspect # 2 is charged by way of warrant application for one count of assault and one count of assault with a weapon.
