Traffic enforcement leads to charges in Wallaceburg

Yesterday at 10:30 a.m. an officer was conducting traffic enforcement at the intersection of Base Line and Old Glass Road in Wallaceburg.

Police say a Chevrolet Impala was stopped due to the validation tag being expired since 2015.  The officer learned the driver had no insurance for the vehicle.  As a result, the vehicle was towed from the location and the 57-year-old Wallaceburg man was charged with Owner Operate Motor Vehicle on a Highway – No Insurance and Drive Motor Vehicle, No Currently Validated Permit

He is required to attend court at the end of December.
