Woman dies after being struck by vehicle in London
A woman died after being struck by a vehicle in London this morning.
Emergency crews were called to Wharncliffe Road South, north of Commissioners Road in relation to a pedestrian who was stuck by a vehicle at around 6:45 a.m.
Police say the woman was attempting to cross the street when she was struck. The woman was transported to hospital where she died as a result of her injuries.
The investigation is still in the early stages. Wharncliffe Road is closed in both directions between Baseline and Commissioners roads while members of Traffic Management Unit and Forensic Identification Section continue to investigate.
