Motorcyclist dies in Lakeshore crash
Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV.
Yesterday at approximately 12 p.m. the Ontario Provincial Police and Essex Windsor Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a two vehicle collision on Morris Road between Richardson Sideroad and Lee Avenue in Lakeshore, Ontario.
Police say a blue Honda motorcycle travelling westbound on Morris Road was struck by a white Ford Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) travelling eastbound.
The lone occupant male driver of the SUV was not injured.
The male driver of the motorcycle was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries but has since died at hospital from injuries sustained in the crash.
Morris Road was closed between between Richardson Sideroad and Lee Avenue for several hours as the OPP’s Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) completed the investigation.
