Construction at McFarlane Avenue intersection set to begin next Monday

Construction is scheduled to begin on McFarlane Avenue at the intersection of St. Clair Street on Monday August 14th, announced municipal officials.

Intermittent lane restrictions will occur with traffic in each direction being maintained on both McFarlane Avenue and St. Clair Street. The project has an estimated completion of early September 2017.

Chris Thibert – Manager, Infrastructure Services, says the project will consist of:

  • Road widening at McFarlane Avenue and St. Clair Street to accommodate a new right turn lane.
  • Sidewalk on McFarlane Avenue will be extended to connect with St. Clair Street.

Thibert says there will be no impacts to CK transit services.
