Chatham man arrested on Lacroix Street

A Chatham man was arrested for breaching his curfew last night on Lacroix Street.

Police say the man was arrested and charged for Trespass by Night on June 7th.  He was released from custody on conditions.  One of his conditions was to be inside his residence between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.

On July 16th the man was arrested and charged for failing to comply with the above mentioned condition as he was located outside of his residence between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Again, he was released from custody on conditions. One of his conditions was to be inside his residence between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Last night around 10:30 p.m. an officer on general patrol in the area of Lacroix Street in Chatham observed the man walking down the street.

The 31-year-old man was arrested and charged with two counts of failing to comply.  He was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he has been held for a bail hearing.
