Driver shot with pellet gun on Indian Creek Road W.
Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a group of young people who were shooting at one another with pellet guns and ended up hitting the driver of a vehicle Tuesday afternoon.
Police received a call-for-service that a group of young people were in the green space area of Indian Creek Road W. near John McGregor Secondary School shooting at one another with pellet guns just after 3 p.m. When officers arrived, the group had already left the area.
While officers continued to look for this group, another call-for-service was received from a woman who had been struck in the face with a pellet while driving past Indian Creek Road W.
The woman waited until she arrived home safely before making the call to C.K.P.S. Once home, she located a hard, white, circular pellet inside the van had been driving when she was hit in the face. Police say the pellet appears to have come from an Airsoft gun. Even though she suffered a large welt just below her left eye, she did not require medical attention.
