LaSalle men arrested in child pornography investigation

Windsor police have arrested two LaSalle men in connection with a child pornography investigation.

Members of Windsor Police Internet Child Exploitation (I.C.E.) Unit received information near the beginning of the year and commenced an investigation.

On Tuesday April 11th members from the I.C.E. Unit, in the company of officers from LaSalle Police Service, executed a search warrant at a residence in the 6800 block of Malden Road, LaSalle, Ontario.

As a result of that action, officers seized a quantity of computers / electronic storage devices.

Two adult men were arrested at the residence without incident.

Police say the investigation remains active.

Michael Hardstone, 46, from LaSalle, is charged with: one counts of Accessing Child Pornography
and two counts of Possessing Child Pornography.

Roger Maillet, 48, from LaSalle, is charged with one count of Possessing Child Pornography.

The offences appear to be internet related, and to-date none of the involved children appear to have local connections.
