Plumber strips naked in front of customer

policecar 2A 55-year-old man has been charged with mischief after allegedly stripping naked in front of a customer.

Earlier this month the woman contacted police and reported the incident that occurred at her home in Tilbury

According to police, on January 13th the woman had no hot water and contacted Ron Reaume’s Plumbing for assistance.  Ron Reaume himself attended the home and while in the presence of the homeowner he stripped down naked and put his overalls on.  After completing the job, the man undressed again inside the home, taking his overalls off and putting his clothes back on.  The man gave the woman a bill and left the residence.

Last night, Ron Reaume was arrested and charged with mischief.  He was released and has court date on March 1st.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service believe that this may not have been the first time that Mr. Reaume has displayed this behaviour while in the presence of a customer.  Anyone with information is asked contact Constable Jodie Foster at or 519-436-6600 extension #83012.  Anonymous callers may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) and are eligible for a cash reward.

This makes me sad. The man is clearly mentally unstable, and now he has been shamed in front of the whole community because of it.

I know the person who this happened to and the plumber was not simply “changing his clothes”. He was directed to a room he could change in and instead got FULLY nude in front of the customer and her house guest. He did this TWICE, exposing his entire naked body to someone who did not ask to see it in any way. No one should feel unsafe in their own home and that is what this person did.

    • Maureen Little   February 11, 2016 at 7:41 pm just said he was directed to a room to change. Generally when I change cloths I get maybe they shouldn’t have still been in the room, or directed him to a more private room. Doesn’t sound like he’s in the wrong here.

I wanna know why it took almost a month to charge him? Did she wait that long? If she did then I think it really didn’t bother her that much. When did she get in touch with the police.

I agree his name has been smeared and it disappoints me that Blackburn radio does this stuff. Was it merely dementia? Or does someone want to not pay their bill?!
