Chatham man and woman charged after allegedly using forged medical prescription

C-K Police 202A Chatham man and woman were arrested yesterday for uttering a forged document.

Yesterday morning, around 10:00 a.m., the man and woman attended a pharmacy on Grand Avenue West in Chatham with individual hand written prescriptions.

The technician observed both scripts and immediately became suspicious as to their authenticity.  The Doctor who apparently wrote them was contacted and confirmed that neither prescription was issued or signed by him.

At 10:30 a.m. police arrested the man and woman for uttering a forged document.  The 30-year-old Chatham woman was transported to the court-house while waiting for a bail hearing.  The 41-year-old Chatham man was released with conditions and has court date on January 19th, 2016.
