Bomb threat hoax at CIBC

CKPS-Crest-259x300Yesterday afternoon, at around 3:30 p.m. CIBC employees on Kings Street in Chatham received a bomb threat from a man who was inside the bank. Although the 52-year-old man left the scene prior to police arrival, he was located a short distance away and apprehended. The man has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

The bank was cleared by the police, but the threat was proven to be a hoax. No one was injured in this incident.
