Blenheim woman charged in fatal accident

Police have charged a 59-year-old Blenheim woman with careless driving stemming from an accident that took the life of Clifford ‘Jamie’ Stokes. The 49-year-old Erieau man passed away in a London hospital on November 6. The accident happened on October 27 at Erieau Road and Bisnett Line. A southbound Chevrolet Impala turned left onto Bisnett Line and in doing so, turned directly into the path of a northbound Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was airlifted to Victoria Hospital in London. The driver of the Chevrolet was not injured.

Yesterday, Magdelaine Jack, 59, of Lagoon Road in Blenheim was charged with careless driving. She is scheduled to be in court on January 20, 2016.
