On October 27, 2021 around 2:38 p.m. emergency crews responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Erieau Road and Bisnett Line in Harwich Township.

A southbound Chevrolet Impala turned left onto Bisnett Line, directly into the path of a northbound Harley Davidson motorcycle. The rider of the motorcycle suffered life-threatening injuries, and was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance and later airlifted to Victoria Hospital in London. The 59-year-old female driver of the Chevrolet was not injured.

On November 6, 2015, Clifford ‘Jamie’ Stokes, 49 years of Erieau died as a result of his injuries. Members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service offer their deepest condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Stokes.
