The Chatham-Kent Public Utilities Commission has announced that Tim Sunderland has accepted the position of General Manager of the Public Utilities Commission.

Mr. Sunderland received a degree in Civil Engineering Technology in 1983 and since that time has held various positions of increasing responsibility within the water and wastewater industry. He began his career with the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change, was employed for the Ontario Clean Water Agency for a number of years and for the past five years has been a member of our Public Utilities Commission Senior Management Team as an Area Manager.

“Tim has a broad range of knowledge regarding water and wastewater that will enable him to provide the leadership and foresight in moving the Public Utilities Commission in the necessary direction,” said Tom Kissner, the current General Manager of the Public Utilities Commission. “He will be moving into his new role in October in order for a transition period to occur.”

Tim Sunderland will start in his new position on Monday, October 19.
