Police release image of man wanted in Thamesville gas can theft

Police have released a video capture of a suspect involved in a gas can theft that took place on Saturday, October 17.

A customer of Mac’s convenience store, on Victoria Street in Thamesville, filled a portable gas container and went inside the store to pay for it at 12:30 p.m. He drove away and realized he had forgotten the gas can and when he returned to the store he found someone had stolen it. Video of the scene revealed the suspect as a white man about 6 feet tall, wearing grey and white running shoes, blue work pants, a green plaid jacket and a baseball cap. He left the area driving a red Ford150 pick-up truck.
