One dead in fatal accident in Plympton-Wyoming

A single vehicle accident in Plympton-Wyoming has claimed the life of a 26-year-old man according to the OPP.

Last night at about 11 p.m. the OPP responded to the accident on Uttoxeter Road between London Line and the #402 Highway located within the Town of Plympton-Wyoming where it was determined a single motor vehicle had been driven north bound on Uttoxeter Road, lost control, left the roadway and had come into contact with a hydro pole.

As a result of the impact the 26-year-old male driver was pronounced as deceased at the scene of the collision. His 23-year-old passenger was treated at the scene and transported to hospital in stable condition.

The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators attended and continues to investigate. Uttoxeter Road has re-opened and there is no longer an OPP presence.

The OPP will not be releasing the name of the deceased or the passenger at this time as next-of-kin notifications are ongoing.
