Motorcycle struck on Erieau Road

An accident at Erieau Road and Bisnett Line between a motorcycle and a car has sent a man to hospital with unknown injuries. The Chatham-Kent Police Traffic Unit, CK EMS and CK Fire Department were at the scene, just after 2:30 this afternoon. The man in the car was uninjured.

Update:

A southbound Chevrolet Impala turned left onto Bisnett Line and in doing so, turned directly into the path of a northbound Harley Davidson motorcycle. The rider of the motorcycle, a 49-year-old Erieau man suffered life-threatening injuries. He was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance where he was stabilized and then airlifted to Victoria Hospital in London. The 59-year-old female driver of the Chevrolet was not injured.

The damage to both vehicles is estimated at $14,000.
