Drug bust after traffic stop on Colborne Street
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a woman following a traffic stop in Chatham.
Last night around 11:40 p.m. an officer on general patrol conducted a traffic stop on Colborne Street near William Street. The female passenger was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for breach of probation. Upon being searched while under arrest, she was found to be in possession of hydromorphone with a street value of about $350. Hydromorphone is a narcotic pain killer.
The 26-year-old Wallaceburg woman has been charged with drug possession. She was released with conditions and a court date of November 5.
