$35,000 in damage after drunk driver slams into a house in Highgate

$35,000 worth of damage was done to a house in Highgate after a driver lost control. He had minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Just after 2 p.m. the Chatham-Kent police were dispatched to the scene, where they identified the driver. Police believed he had consumed alcohol. He was administered a breath test at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.

Alexander Kilbourne, 56, has been charged with impaired driving and having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit. He was released with a court date.
