Wallaceburg fire does $125,000 in damage

The Chatham-Kent Fire Department say no cause has been determined in a three alarm Wallaceburg fire that caused $125,000 in damage.

Last night at 10:38 p.m. firefighters responded from Wallaceburg to 206 Elizabeth Street where they found a storage building engulfed in flames. A second alarm to Chatham was sent out immediately and a third alarm was made by the Incident Commander at the scene.

Firefighters saved a residential dwelling on the rear of the property worth about $175,000. The cause is under investigation.
