Mark Gow supervises as Rachel Heyninck, Amanda Iordan, Adi Zingman, Morgan Martin and Dheepthi Thommandram wash vehicles to fund-raise for CKSS Youth Exchange.

Exchange program. Ten of Victory Ford’s most desired cars are available for a test drive in the east parking lot of CKSS. In addition to the funding from Victory Ford, CKSS exchange students provided a cheaper car wash solution to help fund their upcoming trip as well as a rummage sale in the front circle drive at CKSS.

The CKSS students will embark on a week-long exchange trip starting this upcoming Saturday to Lusland Saskatchewan. When the students get back from the exchange, 19 grade nine students of the Lusland school will make their way to Chatham-Kent to experience our community.

Ms Rankin, a CKSS teacher in charge of the project said, “YMCA Exchange programs are open to all youth and youth organizations who would like to participate in visiting other communities and hosting their partnered community as well. Our student volunteers are lucky to get the chance to interact with the Lusland Saskatchewan students and hopefully we will all mutually learn from eachother”

Ms Rankin and Ms Bradley of CKSS will both be attending the exchange to supervise the students on their educational journey.
