Break and enter on Park Ave:
Sometime between April 13th and April 27th someone entered an apartment on Park Avenue East and stole a filing cabinet containing jewelry and cash valued at $2600.

Break and enter at Fabtech:
Sometime between April 24th at 3:30 p.m. and April 27th at 7:30 a.m. someone entered the fenced compound of Fabtech on Colborne Street.  Once inside, they stole four 150 foot rolls of welding cable.  Total value of the theft is approximately $1600.

Careless driving causes $8000 damage, no injuries reported:
Just before 10:30 a.m. yesterday morning, a 29-year-old Tilbury man caused a single motor vehicle collision on Park Avenue West in Chatham.  The driver lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway and struck a hydro pole. The man was not injured however the total damage was estimated at $8000. The man was charged with careless driving and driving without a qualified passenger as per his G1 restriction.
