With one week remaining in CAA’s annual Worst Roads campaign, Dufferin Street and Markham Road in Toronto are contenders for spots on the provincial Top 10 list.

Last year, Dufferin Street was named the worst road in Ontario for the third consecutive year.

Currently, three of the roads sitting on the Top 10 list are from the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA).

This year, around 2,000 different roads across the province have been nominated by drivers, transit users, cyclists and pedestrians for various reasons including potholes, congestion and safety.

“It’s not too late to vote. With days still remaining, Ontarians can help shape CAA’s Top 10 list and the regional lists for 2015,” said Caroline Grech, Government Relations, CAA SCO.

Ontarians can nominate the streets, bridges and highways in their community at CAAWorstRoads.com until April 17 at 11:59 p.m.

Once voting has closed, CAA will compile a list of the Top 10 Worst Roads in the province, as well as seven regional lists and make recommendations to the provincial and municipal governments. The lists will be revealed later this spring.
