London stand-off spans 2 days

A residence on Madison Ave. in London Ontario was the subject of a stand-off this week when a London sheriff was called to the home on April 27th at 10 a.m. to evict 46-year-old Peter Muir. The man reportedly was armed with a cross-bow and was prepared to use force if required. Due to the time involved with this stand-off, the O.P.P. and T.R.U. officers were contacted to provide relief in the situation.

For the safety of residents, the individual and the community the residence was cordoned off while negotiators communicated with the man. The man surrendered at 10 a.m. on April 28th and he was arrested for breach of probation. Police are still investigating his residence for other weapons. More charges may be added as the investigation pursues.
