21 year-old Spencer Cartier of Campus Parkway in Chatham has been charged with impaired driving and drug possession last night. Shortly after 11:00 p.m. an officer observed a vehicle stopped on King Street.  The driver made a wide turn onto Third Street very slowly and continued over the bridge weaving back and forth.  The officer pulled the man over into a private lot.  He parked his vehicle on an angle in a marked parking spot.

The man was found to be in possession of marijuana and transported to police headquarters for evaluation by a drug recognition expert.

Spencer will appear in court on May 7, 2015.
