Yesterday just after 10 a.m. A Chatham-Kent police officer saw a Black Jeep Liberty speeding. A traffic stop was initiated, when police queried the license plate and received information that the vehicle’s validation sticker expired in January. It was also determined that the driver of the vehicle did not have valid insurance. As a result a 31-year-old Dover Centre man has been charged with speeding, driving an expired permit and without insurance.
At 1:15 p.m. an officer caught a Chevrolet Cavalier speeding on Victoria Ave that also had an expired validation sticker. That driver was also suspended. As a result 33-year-old, Chatham man has been charged with speeding, having an expired permit and driving while suspended.
