On Friday afternoon in Wallaceburg a 54-year-old man on King Street was shovelling snow to the road from his property. A Chatham-Kent police officer on patrol saw what the man was doing and attempted to tell him about the legality and danger of this practice. In return the Wallaceburg resident was belligerent and unreceptive to the caution.

As a result the man was given a $110 ticket under the Highway Traffic Act for depositing snow on a roadway.
