Police in Windsor are on the lookout for  a young woman after she tried on a diamond ring at the Devonshire Mall last Wednesday and fled with the ring still on her hand.

The theft occurred just before 1 p.m. at Peoples Jewellers. The woman entered the store with a man, when they split up in the store. He fled on foot when the woman did.

The woman approached an employee and asked to see some diamond rings. She then tried on a ring and was eventually asked to remove it, however she refused and fled on foot.

Windsor police provided a photo of the incident and have asked the public for help in recognizing her. She is described as white, 18-20, about 5′ 1″ tall, slender build, shoulder length blonde hair and she was wearing a winter coat.
