Victim dies after suspected hit-and-run

A cyclist that police think was struck by a passing vehicle on October 30th, has died.

The Chatham-Kent police confirmed today that the 52-year-old Chatham man succumbed to his injuries in Windsor.

Police have an open investigation into the accident and are appealing for witnesses to come forward. The cyclist appeared to be travelling eastbound on Park Avenue East and was discovered lying on the ground. He was airlifted to Windsor Hospital. Police say they were notified of the man’s passing on November 9.
