Police arrested a woman for impaired driving in Thamesville this morning.
At 4:30 a.m. police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Longwoods Road between Victoria Road and Priscilla Street. The woman was travelling westbound when she lost control of her vehicle and struck a guard rail. She was not injured.
Police at the scene believed that the woman was driving her car while under the influence of alcohol and she was arrested. She was transported to police headquarters for further breath tests.
A 28-year-old Chatham woman has been charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit. The woman was kept in police custody this morning, however she was released when sober with conditions and a court date.
