The Chatham-Kent police arrested a man in a strange incident this morning at about 1 a.m.

Police were called to an address on Park Avenue West about a suspicious person in the area. When police arrived they found a highly intoxicated man inside a parked vehicle owned by the complainant. He was arrested for public intoxication and taken into custody until he sobered up.

He was also found to be in possession of marijuana which was discovered after a search.

A 37-year-old Chatham man faces a charge of drug possession and was released with a court date.
