Man arrested while pushing stolen BBQ down William Street

Yesterday, shortly after 5 a.m., a 29-year-old man decided to remove a BBQ from the fenced area of the Royal Canadian Legion on William Street in Chatham.

The police were notified by an alert citizen. The Chatham-Kent police located and arrested the man, who was still pushing the BBQ down William Street.

He was also found to be contravening several court imposed conditions and as a result, was also charged with those infractions. The man was remanded into custody with a future court date.
