Yesterday at about 4 p.m. the Chatham-Kent police responded to a Chatham address after a parent had accessed their child’s facebook account. The parents found that a man was sending inappropriate messages and wanted to meet with their child. Police were able to identify a 27-year-old Blenheim male who was arrested and held for a bail hearing. The investigation is still ongoing.
The man faces a charge of luring a child.
Police are reminding parents to be vigilant with their children’s internet usage.
