The Chatham Ahcom Shriners, together with the Chilled Cork Restaurant, is hosting the first annual Little Monsters Maskurade Ball on October 31st, 2014 at the Retro Suites Hotel in downtown Chatham. The first fundraiser of its kind for the Chatham Ahcom Shriners, the Little Monsters Maskurade Ball features a six course feast selected and prepared by the Chilled Cork’s Executive Chef Dylan McLay. Tickets are $150.00 each and can be purchased from Jean Andre at 519 350-5423, email: dbrammall@sympatico.ca. Funds raised from the benefit dinner are earmarked for Shriners Hospitals for Children, a program that was recently utilized by several youths in Chatham-Kent. Every year the Chatham Ahcom Shriners raise funds through various initiatives to cover the costs of transportation, medical care and rooming costs to send children with disabilities to the Shriner’s Hospital in Montreal, Quebec.

“These children require medical care that isn’t provided in our area, or need services with a long waiting list,” says Shriner Bob Kennedy. “Without our help, these kids could be missing out on life-changing procedures.”

The first Annual Little Monsters Maskurade Gala will feature six delicious courses, entertainment by Tom Lockwood and Friends, auction table and more. A limited number of tickets to this exclusive event are available through Jean Andre who can be contacted at (519) 350-5423 or via email: dbrammall@sympatico.ca.

“We decided to try something different than our normal fundraisers,” says Shriner Dylan McLay. “We wanted to try something that appeals to a broad audience that will help bring awareness to the work we do while providing a fun evening out with delicious food.”

The Chatham Ahcom Shriners are currently seeking businesses and organizations interested in sponsorship or donation opportunities for this new and exciting fundraiser.

The Shriners Hospital for Children has operated since 1922 with the goal of providing expert medical care for children regardless of a family’s ability to pay.
