Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have completed the investigation in the fatal collision on Highway 401 on May 10, 2014, which resulted in the deaths of Marc Lafontaine, 35 and Alyssa Smulders, 13, both from Windsor.
The male driver of the Freightliner tractor-trailer, Leszek Urbaniak, 57, from London, has been charged with two counts of dangerous driving causing death, a criminal offence. He will appear in a Chatham court on July 8.
